The Museum
In September 2004, the Foundation purchased two-and-one-half acres of land in the Dean Kruse Museum Complex in Auburn, Indiana. The land was purchased with the intention of being used to build a Museum and Education Center focusing on 1932-1953 Ford Motor Company History. What you see now is just the beginning...
Through programs such as the "Golden Shovel" campaign, the "Pave the Way" Brick campaign, Corporate Donations and such, we have begun to realize the dream of creating the Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum.
Volunteers, current & past, have worked for years to get us to this point. They have all donated their time and efforts and have all shared the same vision. We are making great strides but the journey is not done yet. If you want to be involved in something that will preserve the Ford legend in years to come, ask any Ford V-8 Foundation Officer or Trustee what you do as a volunteer! Get involved - we think you will like it!
Architect Bill Fox has designed a model of the project scope as a whole. We have completed Phase I. Phase II consists of another building that encompasses 3 sections. An Art Deco style Ford Dealership with attached restoration shop, a recreation of the Ford Rotunda in the center with a theatre, and the right wing which will house the library and research center.
Our Museum Hours are Tues, Wed, & Thurs from 9 AM to 3 PM.
We are located at 2181 General Doolittle Drive in Auburn, Indiana (46706). If you have a large group and would like to visit the museum on off days please contact us and we can make arrangements to accomodate your group.
